Materials
For this painting I have used and Arteza primed canvas. The canvas is 16 inches by 12 inches so roughly A3 in size.
Created this painting on a table top easel as I prefer to work sat down when I am doing these smaller pieces.
I used a cheap disposable palette that cost about 2 pounds from my local hobby craft store. I usually get two or three paintings out of each sheet before I throw them away. I normally use a glass palette but I am not currently working in my studio as I am living with my partner Amber.

Brushes
Next up is the brushes that I use. For this painting I used.
A small flat brush
A large flat brush
A small detail brush
A pointed round brush
An old frayed filbert brush
A small angled brush
A sword liner
Paints
The paints that I used for this painting are a bit of a mix. I don’t use any particular brand as you can see here. My favourite paints to use are the ‘Abstract’ acrylic paints. They come in little pouches instead of tubes and are a really buttery, pigmented paint that is a very good quality for a low price. Plus they are really easy to store.
For this painting I used

Mars Black
Paynes Grey
Raw Umber
Burnt sienna
Yellow Ochre
Primary Blue
Yellow Ochre
Titanium White
Pale violet
Cadmium Red
