Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has issued a strong warning on the rise of hate speech and attacks on minorities across India. Speaking out on communal harmony, Stalin said that the true strength of any majority lies in ensuring minorities live without fear.

He highlighted that violent groups acting in the name of the majority send a disturbing message to the nation and undermine social cohesion. Referring to recent incidents, Stalin said such attacks are unacceptable to anyone who values peace and unity.

Stalin also flagged a 74% rise in hate speech against minorities since the BJP assumed office at the Centre, calling it a serious concern. He stressed that curbing riotous and divisive groups is an urgent duty that must be enforced with firm resolve.
