Kristine Wilkinson is a strong advocate for teachers and is committed to representing their voices and interests. She has more than 25 years of experience in education, with a career that has evolved from junior high teacher to school counsellor, and later high school principal in a large rural school.

After working in Teacher Employment Services at the Alberta Teachers’ Association on collective bargaining, Wilkinson moved to the government program area, where she is now associate coordinator of communications.

In October, Wilkinson was part of the team that led communications during the teachers’ strike, one of the most high-profile labour disputes in Alberta in recent years. In the video below, she shares why she is looking forward to speaking at Inside the Strike and what participants can expect from the session.
