We are excited to host the esteemed Martyn Crucefix, poet, translator, and literary force, as our special guest for the next Oxford Poetry Circle event!

Martyn will be reading from his powerful new collection, Between a Drowning Man (Salt, 2023). This collection explores two landscapes—contemporary Britain post-2016 and the picturesque countryside of Le Marche in Italy. In stark contrast, Martyn takes us from bustling coffee shops and traffic jams to Italy’s hilltop villages and Classical ruins. These landscapes symbolize psychic journeys, where political and personal divisions unfold, yet offer paths to transcendence.
