Описание к видео Incredible Meissen Germany – Castle and Cathedral - Travel Europe

On this episode we visit Meissen Germany, a town famous for its porcelain and we take a close look at Meissen’s castle, the Albrechtsburg and the Meissen Cathedral (Dom zu Meissen). Both the Meissen Castle and Cathedral are located on the castle hill overlooking the town and the Elbe River. The cathedral was built between 1260 and 1410 in the Gothic style. The cathedral houses works of art from the Northern Renaissance such as an altarpiece by Lucas Cranach the elder and statues by the Naumburg Master. The Albrechtsburg is a late gothic castle, built towards the end of the 15th century. Join us as we visit Meissen.
