Why do people become chefs? Why has food brought people together for thousands of years? This year we wanted to find answers, so we traveled to every Proof Supper Club and brought our cameras.

7 locations and 8 chefs from across the world, bringing their own unique approach and backgrounds to an incredible evening of food – gathering friends and strangers together to share in a one-of-a-kind experience that goes beyond just a meal.

We wanted to understand why, where it comes from and what inspires them to do what they do. So we sat down with each chef and asked them the same set of questions. Here's what we uncovered.
