Astral was a land of dust and dying stars, where men carved out kingdoms from the bones of forgotten worlds. The old ones had left their ruins buried beneath red sands and blackened rock, their cities crumbling beneath twin suns that burned too hot and too long. Settlers and drifters wandered from planet to planet, seeking fortune or refuge, though few found either. Law was a fleeting thing, held together by the steel of a sheriff’s revolver or the grip of a warlord’s fist. There were ships that rode the stars like caravans across the deep, their hulls scorched from skirmishes over salvage and smuggled goods. The lucky ones found work; the unlucky ones were left to rot in the empty wastes between worlds. It was a hard place, a cruel place, but for those willing to stake their claim, Astral held just enough promise to keep men dreaming, and just enough danger to keep them afraid. ⚔️
