Mere hours away from Vienna, Bratislava and Prague, Budapest uses is clout as a densely populated capital city creating a kind of regional creative polarization. Artists for years have descended upon Budapest for its architecture, Its access to creative spaces and its low cost of living.

It is standard European practice for artists to make their way through art school, and ultimately find representation through a gallery.

Soon enough, they are off to the races, looking for studios, placing in exhibitions and simply creating.

We met up with two such products of the Hungarian system at their AQB studios, Traditionally considered Mavericks, the artist duo of Boros Lorinc met in art school and soon joined forces, becoming collaborative masters. They first gained notoriety with their piece entitled $$$$$$!, which they sold at that same price, which just happened to be the exact amount it cost them to get through art school.
