My Kala is a poetic, progressive rap piece that is all over the place as far as the subject matter. On of the common themes is the social issues/ the black struggle in South Africa. The writer also shares a little bit of his personal story of being an orphan and finding God in the dark vortex of rejection and purposelessness.
