The original, retconned sequel to Ringu / The Ring (1998) re-edited by me to cut out anything I thought hurt the overall goal of the story and to fix the pacing issues. This movie is named after the second book in the Ringu book series, and it follows the events of that book more closely than Ringu 2 which undoes the events of this film.

It was originally released in theaters alongside Ringu, but since it underperformed the producers ordered Ringu 2 to replace this one.
