Choose an adequate location for your two stations, a good location will:
Be within a city with a large population
Station coverage should cover as many houses as possible

What I didn't mention:
Distance between two cities is important too, the longer the distance the more money, but also the more expensive.

EDIT: made a mistake in the closing statement, the video actually shows £200,000 in train revenue. The actual profit (including the fees from paying off the loan) is closer to £30,000.
