So my friend has had a tough year and I decided to polish their car in my own time while they had a short stay in hospital. I was hoping to complete this before they got back but my I got too busy and didn't complete refining paint on left hand side. I will do this ASAP, add protection and post complete detail. This is more a progress report.

This was supposed to be a quick single stage gloss improvement polish but after inspecting paint visually under lights and taking paint measurements I decided to do a 2 stage correction. Even though the Hyundia has soft paint the amount of swirls marring, and RIDS meant that a fair amount of clear was to be removed so residue management was critical especially in the 1st stage using MF pads and Menzerna HDC. The age and thickness of the paint meant that not all defects were going to be removed so my goal was to remove as many as possible and restore gloss.

The compounding was done with Zentool 21mm DA using 6 and 5" BP and Micro Fibre Pads and Menzerna HDC. The Refining stage was completed using Flex 14-2 rotary and M205 with Lake Country Finishing Pad. At this stage no gloss enhancers or protection has been applied to paint.
