As president of the Robotics Club, Satvik built his bot using a Raspberry Pi Pico instead of the more commonly used Arduino, because he wanted to code in Python—something he had already mastered through his work in Data Structures and Algorithms. His robot could remember past mazes, calculate optimal paths using the flood-fill algorithm, and correct orientation using the Kalman filter. Despite missing encoders in the motors—a mistake he candidly admits—Satvik and his team still secured 4th place at DTU’s Invictus 2025 robotics competition.
