Vauxhall’s hidden gems - spies, skyscrapers, the Sky Pool, US Embassy and Battersea Power Station

Описание к видео Vauxhall’s hidden gems - spies, skyscrapers, the Sky Pool, US Embassy and Battersea Power Station

Join me on this Vauxhall riverside autumnal walk as London is just starting to get ready for Christmas. We start at the historic Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, which has a little-known connection with the Russian word for 'train station'. Joining the River Thames at Vauxhall Bridge, right next to the MI6 building, we head towards Battersea Power Station via the US Embassy in London. On then way, I give you a little-known fact about the link between the Vauxhall Motors griffin and an 11th century Norman mercenary. We end the walk with a quick peek at the Christmas lights inside Battersea Power Station.
