The Real Cost of a Gacha, as a Player

This is the original video, I recommend you watch it

Some other things I forgot to mention:
On the Reddits specifically, I would get harassed by players for having the wrong build. I was getting mocked on the Honkai Star Rail subreddit for not being able to beat bosses in the story because I didn't have the right characters or builds (This was 1.6) and said I had less intelligence than a child.
Hoyoverse is often useless when it comes to customer support as they outright deny any bugs and won't help if I encounter an obstacle in certain content that is essentially gamebreaking.
I also never recommended the game because of the gacha specifically and the quality secondly.
The developers are often so incompetent as to not listen to player feedback. Genshin's devs tried to mitigate this by claiming they did, but immediately forgot one patch later.
The gacha in Genshin had a 5% increase of getting the said banner character/weapon, leading to a 55% chance to win it in total. But this is miniscule compared to what you actually get.
The weapon banner is still a scam. I've started suggesting adding more weapons in the 10 pulls to make it better value, but obviously with this being a gacha, it'd be better if they got rid of gachas entirely and had microtransactions instead.
