Jambo Jipya, which means a new thing in Swahili is inspired from Isaiah 45:2-3 and Isaiah 43: 18-19.

Isaiah45:2-3Nkjv 'I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.

Isaiah 43: 18-19Nkjv “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
