To add binary coded decimal (BCD) numbers, you can follow these steps:  Add the BCD numbers as if they were binary numbers. Check the result. If the result is 9 or less, it is a valid BCD. If the result is greater than 9 or has a carry-out, it is not a valid BCD. To correct the result, add 6 (\(0110\) in binary) to it. If adding 6 generates a carry, move it to the next 4-bit group. The result should now be a valid BCD.
