▶ About Faisal Masjid:
The Faisal Masjid is the largest Masjid in Pakistan, located in the national capital city of Islamabad. Completed in 1986, it was designed by Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay, shaped like a desert Bedouin's tent, is an iconic symbol of Islamabad throughout the world.
It is situated at the north end of Faisal Avenue, putting it at the northernmost end of the city and at the foot of Margalla Hills, the westernmost foothills of the Himalayas. It is located on an elevated area of land against a picturesque backdrop of the Margalla Hills. This enviable location represents the mosque's great importance and allows it to be seen from miles around day and night.
The Faisal Mosque was conceived as the National Mosque of Pakistan and named after the late King Faisal bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia, who supported and financed the project.

◀️ فیصل مسجد کے بارے میں:
فیصل مسجد، پاکستان کی سب سے بڑی مسجد ہے، جو اسلام آباد، قومی دارالحکومت، میں واقع ہے۔ 1986ء میں تکمیل پائی گئی یہ مسجد ترک معمار ودیعت ڈالوکے کی جانب سے ڈیزائن کی گئی تھی، یہ ایک بدوئی خیمے کی شکل کی ہے، اور دنیا بھر میں اسلام آباد کی ایک علامتی نشانی ہے۔
یہ فیصل ایونیو کے شمالی سرے پر واقع ہے، جو اسے شہر کے انتہائی شمالی حصے اور مری گالہ کی پہاڑیوں کے دامن میں، جو ہمالیہ کی مغربی ترین پہاڑیاں ہیں، پر رکھتا ہے۔ یہ مسجد مری گالہ کی پہاڑیوں کے دلکش پس منظر کے ساتھ بلند زمین پر واقع ہے۔ یہ قابل رشک مقام مسجد کی عظیم اہمیت کی نمائندگی کرتا ہے اور اسے دن رات میلوں دور سے دیکھا جا سکتا ہے۔
فیصل مسجد کو پاکستان کی قومی مسجد کے طور پر تعمیر کرنے کا منصوبہ بنایا گیا تھا اور اس کا نام سعودی عرب کے مرحوم بادشاہ شاہ فیصل بن عبدالعزیز کے نام پر رکھا گیا تھا، جنہوں نے اس منصوبے کی مالی معاونت کی تھی۔
