One of the highlights of my journey was the breathtaking sunset cruise on the shimmering waters of Lake Ohrid. 🌅🚢 As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, I couldn't help but be in complete awe of the natural beauty surrounding me. With the soft breeze caressing my face and the tranquil sound of the water, it was pure bliss! 😌💦

Ohrid is a #unescoheritagesite that boasts a rich historical heritage. From exploring the ancient ruins of the Ohrid Fortress, where history whispers through the stone walls, to the intricate Byzantine churches that adorn the city, I was transported back in time. 🕌⛪🏰

But it wasn't all just history and scenery! Ohrid's vibrant local old #bazaar was a treasure trove of unique souvenirs and handicrafts. I couldn't resist taking a piece of Ohrid back home with me from the Ohrid Paper Museum to cherish forever! 🎁🛍️

As the sun set over this magical destination, I boarded a #sunsetcruise with some friends I made on my way. One of them is Line who lives in Denmark but is ethnically Syrian/Moroccan. She gives a lot of insight into Turkish, Syrian, and Iraqi cuisine. So, stay tuned on this remarkable journey of cultural exchange.
