Michalis Kouloumis, one of the most charismatic violinists in Europe along with the oud virtuoso Thimios Atzakas form a duo which attempts a flowing narration on the musical language of the makam. Reviving the historic form of the fasl-i sazende which flourished in the 17th and 18th century in Istanbul, improvisation is in constant interaction with the written compositions, opening a new field of creative musical act.
