•En 1864 tras la invasión Brasileña al Uruguay se desató la guerra más sangrienta de la historia de América Latina, la guerra de la triple alianza o mejor dicho la guerra de la triple infamia que fue un genocidio camuflado de libertad por la historiografía liberal, genocidio desatado por la oligarquía porteña, los colorados uruguayos tras derrocar al gobierno federal oriental y el Imperio del Brasil respaldados por empréstitos británicos, con el fin de terminar el modelo autónomo de desarrollo paraguayo que era visto como un ejemplo para toda la patria grande y un núcleo de resistencia por los federales argentinos y orientales, con objetivos de unificación nacional y defensa de su territorio.
