‘Adaptations’, their debut single, is about the continuous struggle of nature always adapting even in the face of destruction from mankind.

The instrumental trio based in London fuse Prog and Post Rock and are influenced by a variety of genres. Fed, Dan and Alex all grew up listening to Hard Rock, Heavy Metal and Nu Metal. However their current tastes brings them in new directions with influences ranging from Neu!, Tool, and God is an Astronaut to Karnivool, Steve Reich and Lettuce, as well as many more.

What drives Underwave is their being open to all kinds of music and the will to absorb and apply new influences to their own style. Heavy riffs and cinematic soundscapes alternate in their compositions, engaging the listener in headbanging halftimes and drawing upon their imagination during the slow space-like sections.
