Auburn’s offense just hit rock bottom against Texas A&M...

The Tigers finished with just 155 yards of total offense — their lowest output in eight years — and managed only 1 yard in the entire 4th quarter. Nearly halfway through Year 3 under Hugh Freeze, an offensive-minded head coach, Auburn went 0-for-12 on third down and punted nine times. That marks the program’s first game without a single third-down conversion since 2006. Over the last two weeks, the Tigers are just 3-for-27 on third down despite having one of the nation’s most experienced offensive lines.

Freeze is now 1-10 against AP-ranked opponents at Auburn, and while the defense remains elite, undisciplined play and wasted chances have cost the Tigers in back-to-back road games.

For No. 9 Texas A&M, Le’Veon Moss ran for a career-high 139 yards and a touchdown as the Aggies improved to 4-0 for the first time since 2016. Mike Elko’s team wasn’t perfect — 13 penalties for 119 yards and missed opportunities to finish drives — but the defense dominated, holding Auburn to just 176 total yards and 0 third-down conversions. Elko said the Aggies won two games without playing their best football, and Saturday proved it.
