First of all, growing in Christ means spiritual growth and maturity. Last week we talked about sharing the gospel, and the importance of people putting their trust and faith in Jesus for salvation. But God doesn’t want you just to put your faith in Christ. He wants you to grow in your faith. Christianity isn’t just a one-time decision that you then leave behind. It is a living, personal relationship with God through his Son, Jesus. When you come to Christ, you become a new creation in Christ. You are born again. Spiritually you are a newborn baby, and like all babies, you need to grow.
