A circuit walk from Munyang to the Whites river and the Rolling ground.

Spring 2023 #1 : Munyang - Aqueduct trail - Whites river - The Rolling ground - Bleak areas above Munyang - Return via snowgum ridge line.
Distance : Probably 16 km.
Walking conditions : Tracks, footpads and snowfield crossings.
Notes : This is a circuit walk beginning from Munyang, ascending to the Whites river hut and then continuing on to the Rolling ground. The return route is the snowgum ridge line above Munyang. As I pointed out in the 'Above Munyang' video, the descent ridge is really only passable when there is snow cover. Also, the ridge can be difficult to navigate in the lower reaches when trying to locate the aqueduct trail. On this day, I got stuck in monster scrub and had to back track to escape (not filmed), despite being quite familiar with the route. The heath is chest high and intertwined with fallen snowgums.
As mentioned in previous videos, 2023 was a year of relatively light snowfalls. All of the areas visited are usually covered with much deeper snow in a regular season.
