How to conduct Independent samples t-test in SPSS (Analysis+Effect size+APA reporting)

This video demonstrates how to perform an Independent Samples t-test in SPSS. It is a parametric test to compare sample means of a continuous variable for two independent groups.

What do we need?
One categorical, independent variable with two levels (e.g., sex: male/female).
One continuous, dependent variable (e.g., Internet addiction as measured by IAT).

Assumptions
(i) Scale of measurement-Continuous (dependent variable); (ii) Independence of observation; (iii) Random Sampling; (iv) Normality; and (v) Homogeneity of variance
