How to measure bearings & triangulate locations with a Brunton Compass

Описание к видео How to measure bearings & triangulate locations with a Brunton Compass

There are few measurements in field geology as difficult to master as using a Brunton Pocket Transit compass to measure a bearing. Developing the technique needed to keep a compass body horizontal while lining up your target, the slot in the sighting arm, and the centerline in the mirrored lid will take a bit of practice, but it is definitely time well spent. Once you are able to measure accurate bearings, you will be able to use the process of triangulation to quickly resolve your exact location in a field area.
