2. SOUNDBITE (English) Sarah Hodgson, Christie's Expert:
"They've always had this sort of appeal, I think, The Beatles and they are the number one sort of group that are collection at auction and that I think is because they were such a phenomenon at the time. People have always had a fascination with them because also they're four very distinct, strong personalities and now at auction we're seeing that there's a huge demand for anything relating to them and especially things like the lyrics, which are obviously are star lot."
3. Various John Lennon lyrics 'I'm Only Sleeping' (estimate: £200,000, US$360,000, euro370,000)
4. Close up John Lennon photograph
5. SOUNDBITE (English) Sarah Hodgson, Christie's Expert :
"The most exciting piece in the sale is obviously John Lennon's lyrics for 'I'm Only Sleeping', which was actually, he admitted that was one of his favourite songs. But the reason they're so interesting is because they're working lyrics, they're not just written out, it's not the whole song written out. You can see the way he's working out the words he wants to use, the title of the song and when he reaches the title of the song, he underlines it, as if to say, 'That's it!' So it's sort of a moment that's captured that has captured that creative process, so they're very exciting."
6. Close up signed Oasis poster (estimate: £400-600, US$720-1100, euro590-880)
7. wide shot guitars owned by Noel Gallagher
8. Tilt down Noel Gallagher's blue Epiphone guitar (estimate: £2500-3000, US$ 4500-5400, euro3700-4400)
9. Mid shot Noel Gallagher's 1963 Gibson J160 guitar (estimate: £4000-6000, US$7200-11000, euro5900-8800)
8. SOUNDBITE (English) Sarah Hodgson, Christie's Expert:
"We've got a couple of Noel Gallagher's guitars. One of them is quite interesting because it's the model of guitar - it's a Gibson J160, which was of course famous for being used by john Lennon and George Harrison and obviously the Gallaghers have made no secret of their admiration for Lennon as a composer and an artist and after his initial success in 'What's The Story Morning Glory?', he went out and bought one of the J160s and that's it that we've got it in the sale. So I think for any sort of pop memorabilia collector, it's a really nice thing to have"
9. Various stage clothing form The Clash
10. MS Sex Pistols poster
11. SOUNDBITE (English) Sarah Hodgson, Christie's Expert:
"The Sex Pistols have always been collectable because again, they were of their moment - very raw, very fresh and they had a time and they were very influential and I think the same is true of The Clash as well. I think bands like that are always going to be collectable. When you get the sort of 'copycats' - for want of a better word - coming along, they're not going to be so collectable because they weren't doing it first."
14. Signed Madonna picture (£150-250, US$270-450, euro230-370)
