Cisitalia 202 SC Berlinetta - Art in Motion

Описание к видео Cisitalia 202 SC Berlinetta - Art in Motion

This episode is about the Cisitalia 202 SC Berlinetta, one of the most beautiful cars ever made. The car featured in this video was coach-built by Stabilimenti Farina in Turin in 1948. The 202 SC was also coach-built by Pininfarina and Vignale. In total, about 170 cars were produced between 1948 and 1952, around 100 Coupe and 70 Cabriolets. Various versions of the 202 raced in the Mille Miglia and were driven by legendary drivers like Tazio Nuvolari. The 202 has also been recognized as art. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA in New York) showed a 202 in the first ever automobile art exhibition in 1951. Indeed, the 202 is often considered to be the first post-war Grand Turismo and, with its radically transformed body shape, influenced automotive design for years to come.

Soundtrack by Lo Mimieux ('Le Ballet de L'Oubli') and Alexandra Woodward ('Speak Easy').
