JUMBO KOI! Shintaro Jumbo Koi Pond Harvest 2020

Описание к видео JUMBO KOI! Shintaro Jumbo Koi Pond Harvest 2020

While enjoying a warm October day, the Shintaro Koi Farm is preparing for the harvest they have been looking forward to all year round.

The best and largest fish of the breeder swim in this mud pond. Most fish have now found an owner who is anxiously waiting for the results of this season.

55 fish are about to be caught from this mud pond. The size of this pond is so big that you can almost fill an Olympic swimming pool with it.

Today's team consists of the Saito family and their staff. Under the leadership of Masaro San, they start installing the net.

It is very quiet this year during this special moment. Normally, the best customers and friends of the family are invited to this day. The number 1 harvest.

Some of the Koi in this mud pond are larger than 90 cm. Not surprisingly, you have to be quite strong if you want to lift the fish like Masaru San does. The Koi are incredibly calm during harvesting and lifting. Before lifting the Koi, Masaru turns them around a few times to disorient the fish. This keeps the Koi calm during lifting.

What a great picture. What appeals to me personally is the development that a fish like this goes through from birth. The care these fish receive from the breeder is so good that the breeding of koi can be called top sport.

It is difficult for the stranger to our hobby to understand how important this fish is to Japanese culture. In addition to the cultural aspect, it is important that people understand why fish are sometimes so valuable. Growing a fish to this size and quality can take years, sometimes 10 years. 10 years of care, the best care for these animals. I regularly compare the Koi hobby with the equestrian sport, where top animals, bred from bloodlines, represent a culture or actually lifestyle.

This great Sanke is from a well-known Youtuber Rawwfishing from America. What a beautiful fish!

The beginning has been done and now it is up to the sons of Masaru Saito to collect the mud pond.

Under the watchful eye of father, Kensuke, Kosuke and the rest of the staff ensure a smooth supply of Koi.

Nice to know is that both sons have a very good command of the English language. Recently, Kensuke traveled to America to spend time with a good, mutual friend, Brian from Fitz Fish Ponds.

It is time to return to the Green Houses. This gives the breeder time to take a good look at all the fish and to inform customers of their results.

The koi will stay here until spring or leave for their owner. An unknown destination but with an important similarity and that is that they are always taken care of to the maximum.
