Wadi Shab
One of Oman’s most famous wadis, and honestly worth the hype.
What it is:
A stunning canyon near Tiwi (about 1.5–2 hours from Muscat) with turquoise pools, waterfalls, and a hidden cave you can swim into.
What you do there:
Short hike (45 min) through palm-lined valleys
Swim through multiple natural pools
Climb into a cave with a waterfall inside (the highlight!)
Good to know:
You’ll need to take a small boat at the start to cross the river
Wear water shoes—rocks can be slippery
Go early morning to avoid crowds
