Red Cross Mobilizes Volunteers to Combat Mpox Spread in Nigeria

Nigeria is among the top three countries in Africa with the highest number of confirmed cases of Mpox, recording approximately forty cases. In response to the growing concern, the Nigeria Red Cross Society has launched a comprehensive training programme for community volunteers in Abuja. These volunteers will focus on educating rural communities about effective ways to prevent the spread of the virus, emphasising the importance of awareness and preventive measures.
