Spring REST Application + OpenWeather App

OpenWeatherMap is an online service that provides a freely usable programming interface for weather data, weather forecasts and historical weather data for the developers of web applications and mobile devices. OpenWeatherMap uses OpenStreetMap to display weather maps.

OpenWeatherMap provides a free API for access to free weather data, weather forecasts and weather maps with information about clouds, wind speeds and air pressure. However, registration is necessary for this. In addition, paid service levels are offered. All weather data can be obtained in JSON , XML or HTML format.

Current weather information
Current weather data can be queried in two ways: by using the city name 200,000 cities are available or by using geographic coordinates. The data is updated every minute at the highest and most expensive service level and every two hours for the free API.

Weather forecasts
The weather forecasts can also be queried by entering a city name or by entering geographic coordinates. A three-hour forecast and a daily forecast are available. The three-hour forecast is available for the next five days, the daily forecast for the next 14 days.
