Sometimes a bit of elbow grease is needed. Make sure the hat value exceeds the time you spend to restore to make it worth it. Not all hats need to be restored or cleaned. In those cases Just rinse and shape. Starch and aqua net are not needed but do work better. They won't be perfect but will be in much better shape. Please note Step # 6 is only until most water has dripped out. The hat needs to be damp to shape. And I know I spelled Oxiclean wrong.
