Northey Street City Farm: Community Permaculture in Action with Morag Gamble , Our Permaculture Life

Morag Gamble of Our Permaculture Life (www.our-permaculture-life.blogspot.com.au) takes you for an introductory tour of one of Australia's first city farms, Northey Street City Farm (www.nscf.org.au) which she helped to establish in 1994.

This is such an excellent example of community permaculture in action.

Northey Street City Farm has a small area of raised beds for the shared kitchen garden, the market garden and allotments, but most of area is one huge urban food forest. There is an abundance of food produced and shared.

Wonderfully, there are no fences around this 4 acre farm just 3kms from downtown Brisbane. It is an open and accessible project that welcomes everyone to come and get involved.

On the garden walkabout, you will see and hear about many of the key features of the city farm and be introduced to delicious array of incredible edibles.

Morag will return to Northey Street City Farm soon and other urban farm projects to do more filming.
