In August 2025 we stayed at Fontainebleau and discovered when we checked in on our player's club status that we had two complimentary tickets to the Hall of Excellence. We had heard of it but to be honest we weren't especially interested since we thought it was going to be stuffed full of Tom Brady memorabilia (we are not fans, sorry!). However, since we had the two free tickets we decided we had nothing to lose and headed up to the second floor to check it out.

I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised and very glad that we went. Although the Hall is curated by Tom Brady and sportscasting legend Jim Gray, it has much more than Tom Brady memorabilia, including artifacts from entertainment icons like Oprah Winfrey, The Beatles, and Elvis. And if you're a sports fan you will really appreciate being able to see so many cool items, such as the Heisman Trophy, Vince Lombardi Trophy, multiple Super Bowl Rings, authentic game-worn jerseys and shoes from men's and women's sports stars, Simone Biles' leotard, Serena Williams' and Billie Jean King's tennis dresses, Joe Louis' boxing trunks and shoes, Shohei Ohtani's bat and cleats (with Decoy!) from the 2024 World Series, and so much more.

Although we were given a device with headphones so we could listen to the audio tour, we elected to just walk around, see the exhibits, and read the didactic panels. I'm sure that if we had listened to the audio tour we would have gained a lot of additional knowledge and stayed longer, but still we were there for about 45 minutes just looking, reading, and talking to each other about what we saw.

The exhibits in the Hall of Excellence are really beautifully installed. The didactic panels are easy to read white text on black and contain just enough information. The dramatic lighting heightens the sense that you're looking at important artifacts. Visitors aren't allowed to take video inside but you can take still photos without flash.

Final verdict? We thought it was definitely worth a visit, and upon reflection we certainly believe that the quality warrants the $35 per person general admission ticket price ($20 for kids 5-15; $30 for seniors and active military; buy one, get one for Nevada residents). Do check to see if you have a complimentary ticket offer on your player's card, though! Hope this video is helpful and that you enjoy.
