Cyclone Fengal: Tamil Nadu, Puducherry Flooded, Army Aids Rescue | India Today News

Cyclone Fengal has made landfall, causing heavy rains and floods in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The Indian Army has been pressed into service for rescue operations, which are currently underway. Schools and colleges across Puducherry have been shut due to the severe weather conditions. Streets are waterlogged and homes have been inundated. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu had previously reviewed the situation and measures were taken to set up camps and distribute food to people in vulnerable areas.
