GREG CANNOM AUCTION - Lot 32 - MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE (1987) Skeletor’s Frank Langella Costume

Skeletor’s (Frank Langella) costume from Gary Goddard’s 1987 sci-fi fantasy film Masters of the Universe. Facing off against He-Man (Dolph Lundgren), Skeletor wears his battle armor throughout the film. This costume consists of a metallic threaded spandex unitard and leggings, leather codpiece, decorated chaps, leather belt with a large ornament, breastplate armor, decorated sash, and a two-piece velvet hooded cape. Numerous components have been outfitted with decorative resin squares, with the ornaments depicting cast resin skulls, bones, horned creatures, and various animals. The armor and ornaments have been painted to appear metallic. Stitched inside the costume is a wardrobe label for actor Frank Langella. The costume shows some wear due to production use and age, with paint chipping on the breastplate armor, and is missing some of the ornaments. The costume remains in otherwise good used condition.
