This is the second video in our larger series, in which we explore the life of Quintus Sertorius, tactical genius and Roman Rebel captain of Hispania.

Today, we take a look at Sertorius' service during the Cimbric War, specifically the Battles of Aquae Sextiae (102 BC) and Vercellae (101 BC), as well as his lost years beforehand and his time as a possible spy inside the barbarian army itself!

Much of the video also briefly considers the rise of Gauis Marius, whose faction Sertorius would always be firmly aligned with.

Quintus Sertorius (123-73 BC) was a populares politician and general, bitter opponent of the Sullan regime established after the end of Sulla's Civil War in 81 BC. Sertorius would stand alone in Hispania as the last of the major Marian leaders, holding out for years during the Sertorian War.
