Navratr is unique among the many festivals of Sanatan Dharma. Discipline and penance are important in this festival. In this nine-nights long festival, the worship of the nine forms of the Goddess till nine nights makes the seeker perfect. Why is it called Navratr? What are the main tenets o this ritual? How is it celebrated? The talk explores various questions around Navratr.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Giriratna Mishra is Gṛhastha Sādhaka who was born in Varanasi to Smt. Padma Mishra and Sri Raghavendra Mishra. He is B Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering and started his career in IT&C sector which he gave up and currently he practices under the guidance of his able masters the famous Siddhas of World Avadhūta Bhagvāna Rama Jī and Śrī Svāmī Jī Mahārāja of Datia.

He has also written books in the field of Tantra and those which are published are: Yoga Mañjūṣā; हठरत्नावली ; Śrī Tantrāloka ; Śrī Tantrāloka ; Śrī Bagalātattva Prakāśikā ; Śrī Mātr̥kācakra Viveka ; Śrī Bhūtaḍāmara Tantra and Śrī Kālī Tantra and Śrī Rudra Caṇḍī and Śrī Uḍḍīśa Tantra and co-authored Śābara Mantra Kośa (Encyclopaedia of Śābara Mantra)
