The BRILLIANCE of Dimebag Darrell

Darrell Lance Abbott is considered one of the greatest metal guitarist of all time. He is best known for his time with his band Pantera along side his brother Vinnie Paul, bassist Rex Brown, and lead singer Phil Anselmo.

Today I look at some of his best riffs and solos from his time with Pantera and retrospect on his life.

He picked up the guitar when he was 12 years old, inspired by guitarist such as Toni Ioammi, Ace Freeley and Eddie Van halen. In 1990 Pantera released Cowboys from Hell, their first Major label Record deal.
