Well, I don’t need busy and I don’t need gold
In these days of late, it’s been good to take it slow
Now, I’m older it’s true
But I could never say what might be right for you
If you have a heart, if you feel pain
Makes us brothers and sisters out in the pouring rain
Or if you ever felt lost out on your road
Well, I hope you know, you’re not alone
But I make no promise that it gets better
There’s no guarantee of fairer weather
But in your heart there’s a knowin’ older than your mind
It can give you strength to see you through, a day at a time
At least that’s what I tell myself
With a bottle of cheap whiskey on the shelf
My will power wearin’ thin
Still, thankful for the skin I’m in
The chance to laugh, to love
To sit out in the warmth of the sun

Where for years now, I’ve been humbled to my knees
So I don’t need busy
