Grandmother & The Pumpkin | Story - 1

A popular folktale from Maharashtra which is about an old lady's journey to her daughter's home through a forest. On her way the old lady encounters three animals (a wolf, a bear and a tiger) who wish to eat her. The old lady convinces the animals that she is not fit enough to be eaten, but that she will go to her daughter's house, have delicious food and become plump. She promises the animals that she can then be eaten then. The old lady then goes on to her daughter's house and the daughter suggests an idea to outwit the animals and get her mother home safely.
