Geometry is a branch of mathematics that studies the sizes, shapes, positions angles and dimensions of things. A point in geometry is a location. It has no size i.e. no width, no length and no depth. A point is shown by a dot point. A line segment has two end points. If we extend the two end points in either direction endlessly, we get a line. An angle is formed when lines or line segments meet. When the sum of the measures of two angles is 90°, the angles are called complementary angles. When the sum of the measures of two angles is 180º then the angles are called supplementary angles. When two angles are supplementary, each angle is said to be the supplement of the other. Adjacent angles have a common vertex and a common arm but no common interior points.
