WE VISIT OUR HOMELAND IN KASHUBIA, POLAND

We drove from Warsaw about 250 miles to the area called Kashubia. It is the prettiest area in hte north part of Poland. We wanted to see the town named LESSNAU and see how our ancestors lived. The town is now called Lesniewo. The town is in the middle of no place. It has a church, a little store, and about 30 houses. John wanted to be the king of that place, and I asked about that. The mayor said if he would send him $10,000 he would make him the king. I wanted to be a Duke, but after seeing the place, I will pass. No one spoke English, or even Polish. I talked to some polish people in a nearby town and they told me that the Kashube language is like Polish but enough different that they can not understand much of what someone is saying.

Since there was no place to sleep, other than in a barn with the pigs for $15.00. we moved on tho another Kashubian town named Kartuzy, for the night. The video shows the other town which was pretty nice.
