As you all know, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru has been RCB's home ground for the past 18 seasons. However, after IPL 2025, a stampede occurred during RCB's victory parade, resulting in the loss of many lives. Since then, the stadium has been embroiled in controversy. This is why no matches have been played there since June 2025, neither for the Ranji Trophy nor for the Women's ODI World Cup. Now, a major update has emerged regarding RCB's new home ground.

If media reports are to be believed, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium may be excluded from hosting IPL 2026. In this regard, the Maharashtra Cricket Association has made a proposal to RCB. There are discussions about hosting RCB's home matches at the MCA Stadium in Pune. This stadium has a capacity of over 42,000 fans and has previously been home to franchises like Pune Warriors India and Rising Pune Supergiant. However, a final decision on RCB's home ground will be made after the auction, which is scheduled for December.

MCA Secretary Kamlesh Pisal told TOI, "Negotiations are underway to host RCB matches in Pune, but it hasn't been finalized yet. They're facing problems in Karnataka because of the stampede there. So they're looking for a venue, and we've offered our stadium. Initial discussions have taken place, and there are some technical issues that need to be resolved. If everything goes well, then yes, Pune will host the matches."
