I recently purchased Soomthstepper board for my CNC. I used Mach3 with parallel port and I reached 2000 mm/min and acceleration 120mm/s/s. With the set up, I occasionally felt the pulse was not very clear.

Once I got Smoothstepper board, now I can reach 7000mm/min and acceleration 550mm/s/s.

The board can reach higher speed, but my CNC stepper motor are not strong enough to handle it. Also, the higher acc. makes the gantry of my CNC shaking. So I couldn't go higher.

It is not just about speed, but also, the pulses are very clean and that makes end results better.

I totally satisfied with the Smoothstepper.
