How to Scratch-Build a Vintage Amp, Part 8: Completed and Tested

Описание к видео How to Scratch-Build a Vintage Amp, Part 8: Completed and Tested

In this final episode of an 8-part series, the Supro Model 6422 Tremo-Verb modified clone is completed and tested. Included are the covering of the cabinet, installation of grill cloth, fabrication of a decorative fretwork grill, completion of the circuit wiring, and final assembly of the amplifier. A chart is created showing how three different rectifier tubes (5Y3, 5U4, GZ34) affect the node voltages and tube bias for both a 6V6 and a 5881 (6L6GB) output tube. A final cost analysis is discussed. Finally, a sound demo of both output tubes is presented......both clean and with varying amounts of tremolo and/or reverb.
