The remastered version of Quake 2 was released on Steam in October 2023. The original Quake 2 (1997) was an excellent sequel to Quake. In contrast to the original game's dark atmosphere, Quake 2 takes place in extraterrestrial military facilities on the home planet of body-snatching cyborgs called the Strogg. You will be given mission objectives throughout your campaign to stop them from taking over the Earth. Some old weapons return such as the trusty Super Shotgun, and the new weapons pack a punch too. You will need them against the new smarter and deadlier forces. Now we can enjoy this classic gameplay in 4K resolution!
