The Rice Experience is a lesson born out of the desire to help people begin to grasp the incredible numbers of people who have suffered and perished due to acts of genocide, violence, disease, and torture around the world. Heidi Rickard created the lesson in 2007 and it is designed to provide an experience that allows the audience, through an analogy, to hear about these events and put them into perspective.

The Rice Experience challenges you to use your one grain of influence to change our would for the better. We will influence others, the question is what type of legacy will you leave? You are only one grain, but never underestimate the power that lies within you.
